Two hundred houses in a small village between the sea and the mountains, restanques covered with orange trees. A main street descending towards the old wash-house that can be observed from the terrace of the gallery. Eight-hundred villagers, among them: artists, painters, sculptors, photographers, musicians and comedians. A cultural life driven by professors, journalists, an historian, writters…
Originally populated by majorquin families, the village has seen an arrival of newcomers in the 70’s who immediately fell in love with the place. They come from various european countries and decided to buy a house for their holidays or to live there year-round.
About 50 houses belong to Adsubians at heart from: germans, english, belgians, french, deutsch, italians… They take part in the village lifestyle, to its celebrations, customs and perpetuate the « l’adsubian way of life ».
